. sitting in the tarmac for two hours with the engines off, no air conditioning. waiting for the storm to pass.
. running to gate with baby on front, backpack on back. heavy ass carry on trailing behind, and folded up stroller in the other hand. only to find that the flight out has been delayed as well
. aisle seat with a woman and her daughter, the mother rolled her eyes and huffed and puffed upon learning that she would be sitting next to a baby.
. upon landing, sitting there smugly with a baby that was either happy and smiling, or sleeping the entire flight. hopefully that lady won’t be an asshat to the next babymama she sees. oh well, it looks like it will be raining for her entire trip through ireland. maybe the airline lost her luggage.
. arriving in faery land. baby girl sees her papa for the first time in nearly a month, lights up in a big smile.
. crisp, cool, refreshing atlantic air to breathe
. napping on and off with babe
. dreams of werewolves
. curry cooked by my man.
. sleepless night. skyping with mama and the cat, london.
. today spent napping on and off.
don’t i get some girlscout mom badge for international travel with a baby?
also. the GIRL (teen. about 17) was texting on her phone a little note about her journey so far, i happened to glance and see ‘the lady sitting next to me has a baby, but it’s asleep… it’s ridiculously fat’
first off.. LADY???!? how much older does she think i am? woah… woah man.
and i can’t help but laugh at ‘ridiculously fat’
. i don’t really know what day it is. considering that the sleep i have had since being home has been in nap increments with an 11 month old.
. baby jet lag plus teething is awesome. do i get another badge for that one? or maybe i should just get a cocktail
. it’s 5am, i’m hungry… the only thing in it to eat is a frozen pizza, that’s okay right? it’d be even better if i had some oreos to go with it.
- i’ll try to update with something. something. something. in the next few days. oooh we’ll see
