it's in the silent still
that you can reflect on the simple beauty of nothing in particular.
…when you feel surrounded by love, and left all alone in the same moment.
where you can laugh and cry at the same time.
where days blend into night, and night into day…
where nothing makes any sense.

Whenever mom was working on a new project-I always got to keep the first pieces. I cherished the firsts. They had simple mistakes, were unique, odd, experiment.

The difference between the firsts, and all the rest-is that the very first ones, were made with love, passion, from the heart-into the unknown. Faith was put into it-to turn out properly, enthusiasm, uncertainty.

The ones that followed were made with experience, knowledge – whereas mine remained the only true one-made with the heart.
