Recipe for Rain

Sigh…

It really feels so much better to break out the paints, the paper, the scissors, the anything.

Rainy day. Slept in forever, dressed in a skirt and took a walk to the post office. The post master that has white hair traded me a lovely stamp with pink mushrooms on it-for 82 cents. I licked it then and there, and put it through it's little slot-to be carried away in the sea…

A stack of old newspapers sits in the corner-so I got the idea to try some papier-mâché.  I sat shredding, enjoying the sound of the paper as it ripped into lovely long strips… I dumped an entire bottle of glue into a bowl and added some water. I really just made a mess-a big, wet, lumpy mess. So-it didn't work. My idea of a lovely homemade pencil holder gone. Hmph!

Just doing something with my hands, creating…felt so good. So I drew, and coloured, and splashed in paint. I dripped hot tea on paper and set it in the oven to dry…
